Welcome fall with open arms and a beer and brat in each hand at Peddler’s Village OctoberFEAST! As a chill fills the air and the leaves in Bucks County turn to brilliant hues from buttery yellows to amber orange and burgundy red, we’re celebrating the seasonal change with our twist on the world’s largest outdoor party.
If you like German food and brews and good old American family fun, OctoberFEAST is a bash you don’t want to miss. Enter the Beer Garden Tent on the Street Road Green and check out Free Will Brewing, our new Taproom (homegrown from down the street in Pipersville), and their new PV Lager, a traditional German marzen-style lager, brewed exclusively for this event. Free Will will also be pouring their German-style Pilsner and Vienna Lager, and the Kragle IPA. For the traditionalist, stop by Earl's New American tent for a pint of Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse and the always popular Sam Adams Octoberfest and Yuengling Oktoberfest.
Now it’s time to eat! At the Cock 'n Bull Food Tent, Chef Mike will be cooking up his signature Brat-Dog, a tasty sausage with sauerkraut wrapped in a pretzel on a stick.
His line up of Bavarian dishes includes Currywurst, Frankfurters, Potato Pancakes with apple sauce, German-style french fries with sweet mayo, Pretzels with whole grain mustard. Get your salty on at Das Pickle and Pretzel Bar. Cinnamini Donut Food Truck will be serving up fresh, hot Cinnamon Apple Donuts and you’re sure to find some irresistible sweetness at Lucky Cupcake Company’s Village Bakery booth.
For those of you who like whiskey and wine more than beer (shhh, we won’t tell), we have you covered. The Wine & Spirits Garden with Hewn Spirits and Chaddsford Winery features autumn inspired spirits and slushies.
Once you’ve had a few, you’ll be ready to polka and chicken dance to the high energy Oom-Pah-Pah classics performed by the famous Philadelphia German Brass Band and Polkadelphia, and contemporary sounds from Bronwyn & Justin.
Family activities and games will keep the kids busy and parents happy! The hilarious Give & Take Jugglers and the Excalibur Castle Bounce and Dalmatian moon slide will entertain the kids for hours. Have their adorable faces painted and let the little ones get creative with pumpkin painting and sand art. Then have some rambunctious fun with family corn hole, ladder ball games and our OctoberFEAST selfie station.
Forgot your dirndl and lederhosen and don't have a beer stein or Alpine hat? No worries, pick up a couple of our new OctoberFEAST T-shirts offered in black or burnt orange in a variety of sizes. Or, click here to order online, have shipped or pick up at the event.
At the event, 5th generation woodcarver Bernd Fehrenbach of Fehrenback Black Forest Clocks & Gifts will offer authentic Beer Steins, hats and imported German specialty foods.
So pack up the family and your best friends for a day to eat, drink & be merry at Peddler’s Village OctoberFEAST! Das Das Beer, anyone? Prost!
